Our History
Like the men’s fashion industry itself, Gentry Ltd’s location has changed several times over our 50+ years in business. What hasn’t changed is the secret to our success…provide extraordinary service and continuously evolve to insure that our clients always look their best.

Opened across the street from Wichita State University as a college prep clothing store for men.

Moved to North Rock Road and began selling business attire in place of college prep wear. As the business continued to grow, so did Gentry Ltd.

A second store was opened at the downtown location of Broadway and William. The two locations were maintained for almost a decade, but as more downtown businesses’ continued to move to the suburbs, the downtown store was closed in 1993.

Moved into the luxurious development, The Waterfront (current location). Moving away from the crowded Rock Road location and into the upscale retail shopping area increased the accessibility and overall business.

In August 2018, Britt Fulmer sold the business to Parker Mitchell. Sometimes in order to continue growing a business, a change in leadership is needed. It is not that many of the old ways are no longer valid, but more that growth demands new vision and new energy.

Parker Mitchell
President/Owner- Parker is a born & raised native Wichitan and has always had a passion for fashion. He worked at Gentry Ltd from 2004-2007 while earning his degree in Entrepreneurship & Marketing from Wichita State University in 2006. Although leaving after graduating, Parker realized his passion was always in the men’s clothing industry and re-joined the Gentry team in August 2018 but this time as principal owner, purchasing the business from former owner, Britt Fulmer. Parker looks forward to carrying the Gentry torch, leading Gentry with a balance of tradition with an eye to the future.
Rick Anderson
Wardrobe Consultant- Having came to Gentry Ltd in early 2006, Rick has amassed a wealth of sartorial knowledge both from his 45+ years of experience in menswear as well as from his extensive world travels. Pair this with an acute taste for the finer things in life and it is no wonder why Rick has a great eye for fashion.
Joshua Haas
Wardrobe ConsultantJosh has worked in the men’s clothing industry since 2012. As a personal interest, Josh brought a modern-dapper style to the Gentry team when he started in the summer of 2014.
Justin Lewis
Wardrobe ConsultantJustin has worked in the men’s clothing industry since 2011 and started his career at Gentry in the Fall of 2014. With his experience and attention to detail, Justin has lead the store in store merchandising and visual displays and spearheads all social media marketing.
Carlo Jespersen
Master TailorA native of Denmark, Carlo Jespersen is a third generation, certified master tailor with over 60 years of experience. Carlo enjoys fitting our clients to their individual needs.
